Gary Ellerson is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on July 17, 1963 in Albany, Georgia, United States. IMDb lists Ellerson as having appeared in four NFL games in the seasons of 1986 and 1987 in addition to in the NFL Draft. Ellerson was also as a character in The 60 Yard Line.
In 2003, Ellerson was inducted into the Albany Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.

Ellerson began his professional career as an offensive back in 1984 when he joined the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League in which the team was led by Reggie White. He returned to into the NFL Draft in 1985 and was selected at the seventh round of the Packers. He played his 1985-86 seasons with Green Bay, tying a record for the franchise with the most kickoffs returned in one game. He was let go during training camp of 1988. Then, he signed with the Lions shortly after. Ellerson played in eight games for the Lions in 1987, but an injury to his knee put an end to his professional career.
Ellerson was sought out by Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. He chose to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and enrolled in the fall of 1981. The team played football until 1984. From 1982 to 1983 his team was the top in by a wide margin in the Big Ten in kick-off return yards. In 1982 the year he returned 19 kick-offs for 454 yards. He averaged about 24 yards on each kickoff return. He ran for 820 yards in 161 carries, and scored 12 touchdowns rushing. In Madison, Ellerson and the Badgers participated at two bowl matches, the team lost by 7 points in the 1981 Garden State Bowl to Tennessee during the 2001 Garden State Bowl and an 11-point victory in the 1982 Independence Bowl over Kansas State.
Ellerson returned to college at UW-Whitewater to complete his liberal arts degree. His first job outside the NFL was on the football coaching staff at Brookfield East High School in Brookfield, Wisconsin, where he was running backs coach for the 1990 season, and defensive coordinator for the 1991-94 seasons. He also served as vice president of Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Milwaukee, in charge of community development, shortly after his playing career came to an end. Ellerson entered the car business at Braeger Chevrolet in Milwaukee for five years before embarking on his current radio career.
